Final: Paintsville 28 vs. Fairview 12
#18
Mojo, I didn't say it wouldn't be a disappointment or that the Tigers would be satisfied with 5 losses. I'm just saying our district will be tough this year. Like I said, you could see 3 teams from our district in the semis of the region.

I don't see 5 losses for the Tigers. I only see 4 teams capable of beating PHS: Prestonsburg, Hazard, Pikeville, and JCHS.

IF they do lose those 4 games, it's not a "woe is me situation." The Tigers shouldn't be hanging their heads in shame and disappointment. I don't think I'd want the Tigers to be disappointed to the point they don't learn from the losses. If they learn from a loss and turn a regular season loss to a playoff win, that will prove my point.

Remember 2002, the Tigers lost at home to Fleming Neon in a very ugly game. They didn't get disappointed and give up. They turned the season around and beat Fleming Neon in the region final at Fleming Neon in a rout.

If they lose to Hazard and then hide their faces, then they will be throwing in the towel for the rest of the season. They should take a que from the 2002 Tigers and take their lumps (if they get any lumps) and then scratch and claw their way back.
