Final: Paintsville 28 vs. Fairview 12
#11
TBIRD Wrote:Paintsville had 305 yards of total offense. 200 rushing and 105 passing. I believe Pugh was 6-10 with the only 2 incompletions in the first half he threw the ball away on a scramble. Good to see Williams playing a tough TE, getting behind the secondary for some open catches. Also heard that Hicks tatooed their first string QB and caused him to sit out the rest of the game. D looks to be good if they can just slow down the running attack. I'm sure they will tighten up come next week. Anyone know if Subby will be back in the lineup next week at AC.

I had the opportunity to talk with Sublett's father last night. Apparently, his sprain was a little more severe than originally thought to be. He also has a strained achillies. He came back to practice on Wednesday, and struggled to move laterally and sprint. He didn't practice on Thursday, he along with BMR and the other coaches decided to hold him out for this week. I assume he'll be back next week but the foot could hold him out a couple of weeks. I don't think BMR will push him to play against AC or Jenkins if he's not feeling well enough to do so. Heard Smyth goes back to the doctor soon, any updates on his shoulder??

I also don't believe the cramping had much to do with being out of shape. Paintsville looked to be in pretty decent shape, cramps are contributed to lack of fluids, electrolytes and potassium.
