I believe you are right. If anyone ever beats Highlands, they should automatically get the big trophy.

Normally I'd say you are right, but this year the West bracket has some very strong teams. John Hardin, Owensboro, Christian County and Bowling Green are all very, very good this year. I had the opportunity to see Owensboro play Hoptown, and I was impressed. They are considerably better than Bowling Green was last year. And a lot of the "experts" on the West think John Hardin is better than Owensboro. Could this be the year for the 5A team from the West to win 5A? Its got to happen eventually and with all the very strong teams out there it may be this year. I will say that other than the Highlands, the 5A teams from N. Ky are very poor this year. In my assessment, Dixie is again poorly coached. Nice athletes, but poor coaching. CovCath I believe (and I don't think any CovCath fan agrees with me on this point) is well coached, but other than 3 or 4 players, doesn't have the athletes this year (next year may be worse for them). Holmes' coach is doing a great job of turning around the mentality of the players but is still a couple if not several years from being able to move past the first or second round and Scott, well God love them, is still Scott. Better this year than years past, but still not likely to even make the playoffs. I wouldn't be surprised to see JC's district win 3 of the 4 first round games.
