You are correct that I am, for the most part, basing my opinion on soccer teams from 3-4 years ago. I have no doubt that they have improved and are still improving, but this is what I saw:

A Pikeville team that dominated pretty much everyone else in the area and got big heads. Then I went to see Oldham County girl's soccer team play and to be honest, they could have run circles around any of the Pikeville teams (boys or girls).

I don't disagree with you that the program is still building, but just because you can beat up on lesser teams that are just starting out or trying to get a program going does not mean that you are God's gift to soccer. A little humility can go a long way.

I know thats what I am trying to say but its not really in the communities eyes that they are overrated because the community know that outside this are it is a totaly diffrent world. If we base this off of 3-4 years ago then yes Pikeville was overrated based off what the players made themselves look like and the parents. However, the soccer community still knew the would never be Catholic, or St. X and so on. But yet again back then I agree now being around the kids and parents I would say they are right where they need to be. They know there place. They know Perry is the favorites to win district, they know Corbin in the team to beat in regionals, and that it would take a miracle change to compete at state.
