I know Russell is traditionally a running team. We don't have the line to run Abrams on 26, 20 times a game against 10 men in the box and come away with the win.

This team will beat good teams by throwing the ball. IF the coaches can't understand that then they are wasting this teams ability. The pass was wide open all night, but we threw one on one routes on the short side of the field and only on 3rd and long. They have to mix it up and throw on first down sometimes and keep teams honest.

Ashland put 8-10 men in the box and brought the house and we ran over and over and over.

Now, the defense got ran over, but we made no adjustments, they had a freshman at qb with no arm and we didn't bring in more beef and linebackers. Russell should have went into a 6-3 also and they could have stopped that.

This team can't run the same play over and over with this line, they are young and not deep. Our playmakers have no chance to do anything when they get hit as soon as they touch the ball.


If Mcglone can't break his old habits with this team they will have a tough year. I honestly believed they would come out and throw and throw and throw after how open Ironton's recievers were last week, and I know they watched that film
