Ken Griffey Jr. Traded to the White Sox
#20
Griffey is nearing the end of his career anyway and I relaly look for him to take on a DH role in the American League. Also, I tend to think that AL pitching is beneath that of the NL so his stats might rise again and end on a high not. As for Dunn...I know he strikes out but his offensive stats are second to none. He has 32 HR, one of the top players as far as OB% goes and will consistently drive in 100+ every year....not to mention you need someone in your line-up that has a chance to yank it out of the park every time they make contact. I look for Harriston Jr. to move to CF and Bruce to right, which is his natural position. As far as the batting order is concerned, Encarnacion isn't a clean-up hitter....he is much better suited at the 5 hole. I think it will look like...

Hariston
Keppinger
Phillips (maybe 4, but I'd put him there just because he will always put the ball in play and you may need a sac fly early on)
Dunn
Encarnacion
Votto
Bruce
Bako/Ross
Pitcher

I hated to see Jr. gone because he is going to be in the h.o.f. in a few years...but this season is pretty much done for as far as the post-season goes...time to look to next year and developing our talent for years to come.
