Dunn should not be traded!!! We could have used him instead of Josh Hamilton in the trade to the Rangers but we didnt. So by God we better keep him now if he was that important then.

I know many people have said that before, but it's not that simple. The truth is the Rangers didn't want Dunn! Wayne Krivsky said that Texas came to the Reds specifically to ask about Josh Hamilton. It's not like they asked for Dunn and the Reds wanted to keep him so bad that they insisted on Hamilton instead.

Bottom line, the Reds couldn't have gotten Edinson Volquez for Adam Dunn. It just wasn't happening. You could argue that they shouldn't have given up Hamilton for Volquez, but that's a whole different thread...

I do think that the Reds should try to re-sign Dunn, though, depending on what his contract demands are. If they're too high, then see ya later.
