Ken Griffey Jr. Traded to the White Sox
#6
I'm torn between trading Dunn and keeping him. It would free up more money if Cincy got rid of him, but would also cut back on the runs they score. I think they should cut Arroyo though because he is eating up a ton of money, sign Dunn back, and find some nice leadoff type players. You have Dunn who can hit the HR, Phillips who can hit the HR, but no one that can stay healthy can hit a consistent .300. I say you have Hairston lead off when he gets back in the lineup, put Phillips as the 2, Dunn as the 3, Encarnacion as the 4, Votto/Bruce/Keppinger at 5/6/7 in any order, the catcher at 8, and pitcher at 9. You have to move Dunn from the 5 hole because all of these HR's he's hitting are not driving in any runs due to the fact no one is on base whenever he's up to the plate. Phillips swings for the fence every time he's up to bat, and Griffey was the same. At least with putting Phillips in the 2 hole, you can give Dunn the opportunity to bat in the 1st with the leadoff hitter on base.

Now for the rest of this year, I'd go out and pick up Kenny Lofton who is a FA, and sign him for the remainder of the year. Kenny would be a great leadoff hitter, and he is still a threat to steal a base. That is just my opinion on the whole thing.
