Well they are counted, and I don't have to go to a rules meeting to know that. How do you even know that I haven't attended the rules clinic? Games are played in 5 innings all the time. Most of them do it because of the weather getting bad, or darkness, etc, but some schedule it so they can get more games in by playing double headers. Especially when a lot of their regular season games get cancelled due to rain. They simply try to make games up by playing double headers and making them 5 innings. It is a lot easier on teams who have a long ways to travel as well. There is nothing wrong with it at all. Regardless they are counted, and if they are counted then there must not be too much wrong with it. What liability reasons are you talking about?
