I'm up in N. Ky so I don't get to see the mountain linemen on a regular basis, but when I have been able to watch them, they generally are very strong. The only negative is that while they have been ox strong, they are often not the fastest or quickest. Seems that the emphasis of the mountain teams is on big and strong, not fast and quick. That's a generalization that obviously isn't applicable to every linemen or team I admit. But it seems to hurt the mountain schools from time to time when they have to play teams out in the state during the playoffs. Do you know what they call a lineman that's big, strong, quick and fast? A D1 recruit! Big Grin Not many of them in any part of the state. Good luck to the mountain teams in 08. I hope to get the opportunity to watch several mountain teams and their linemen play this year.
