And in your theory of what officials are instructed, what is an "obvious" foul?
By the way, great post Wyatt. As you said, it was made, jus so happened to be at a very crucial time of the game. It was what he saw, when he saw it, no matter the time remaining. Woulda made the same call in the 1st Qtr or the 4th.

Ref's are just like players, sometimes they make mistakes at crucial times. He could have called the NBA finals for the last 10 years , but that doesn't mean he won't miss a call hear and there. I think most unbiased people that saw the play would tell you it was a bad call. Not saying he is a bad ref. Actually I think he is a decent official, probably one of the top 4 or 5 in the region, but he missed this one. Also, I don't think anyone can honestly say the last few seconds of the game are called the same way as the 1st quarter. I agree that it probably should be, but in reality its not! Players should decide the game & not refs. JMO
