You can dress it up and put a positive spin on it all you want but those of us who saw the damage done will never forget it.. Like I said Im not trying to put down coach Mac and yes he had a good run but let me ask this? If coach Mac had the ideal perfect program and philosophy then why hasnt PC had a winning season since hes been there? IF memory serves me correctly they had won 6 games and had one of the best years in school history the year before he got there. Yes hes been in a district with Belfry and SC but what about the other schools?
Getting back on topic I dont think Mac will be hired as coach at Pikeville for either 1 of 2 reasons. Either
A. He resigned under pressure when he left Pikeville or
B. There was no pressure and he just wanted a change of scenery.
Either way why would they hire a guy that either they ran off or he just turned his back and run out on them three years ago? I just dont want you or anyone else to misunderstand. I know that Mac is a good and decent man and isnt a bad coach. Should he get the job I wouldnt do anything but support the guy because I love this program and Ill always support it no matter who the coach is just like any a good alumnist would.

Not a positive spin at all. Just the facts. You can do what your allowed to do through the adminstration involved. I never said Mac , had the perfect ideal program or philosophy. I also cant judge what he has done at PC. I would believe common knowledge would tell you talent would be the reason to your answer. Reasons occur that make men decide to change. I am not judging Jackson for leaving, I believe it is a better opportunity for him, not to judge Mac for leaving, but with the opportunity 3 yrs ago ,Chris could have seen it as something that needed to be done at that time for personal,family or what ever reason. People have to live by the decisions they make, and with those decisions come public opinion. I respect your opinion but will disagree about him leaving the programs LL and JR High is bad shape just look at the talent for the past few years and in JR HIgh now. I am not promoting anyone for this job just stating facts. If Mac would come back to pikeville they should welcome him with open arms and support his leadership. It will take someone with the heart of a panther to rebuild this program and be here for the next 20 years to lead PHS to Louisville but first an regional championship.
