Lewis has turned the program around and brought respect to it. To say Lewis is a joke is insane, and it's the front office that is probably the reason for the defense's downfall (well, them and Bresnahan, but he has called two games decent). The fron toffice resuses to take steps big enough to improve the defense (i.e. not spending money on free agents or spending a significant number of draft picks to draft good defensive players)

Exactly right. The front office is to blame for the lack of upgrades on defense and for not holding certain coaches accountable for their units consistent poor play. It will be a great day when soP (son of Paul) is no longer calling the shots. It all starts at the top gang.
