There is no Pike BOE rule against anyone playing up in any sport, just a State BOE rule that says 8th graders cannot play JV or Varsity football due to the size/injury factor.

Did I say that there was a rule against it? YES, I do have a problem with 9th graders playing with 8th graders AND I do have a problem with them playing on the freshmen team IF they are also listed on a varsity roster (this counts as a year of eligibility).... BUT.... MY opinion is just that..... MY opinion.....

OH... also, what part of the above "notice" that you left me did you leave out? UH... Section C.....

I could PERSONALLY CARE LESS what Pikeville does with their athletic program. MY child is my concern and that is it!! Play the freshman down, the 8th graders up... do whatever.... I DO NOT CARE!!!!!!!!!!

Obviously you do care what Pikeville does because you have talked about this in numerous threads. The bottom line is this: 8th graders CAN play freshman football. They can also play JV, as long as juniors don't play. Don't get mad, I was just showing you the rule, just in case you guys wanted to do it.
