I don't know about you guys, but I'd rather take a chance on our DB's covering the big play than letting teams just walk down the field easily and scoring, all the while burning 8 minutes off the clock. Give a team a shot at the big play and more than likely, they don't complete it.......takes a perfect pass (longer) and catch........unlike the short stuff. Also More.....is it just me or do our DB's hardly ever get up to the line of scrimmage and try to bump a reciever off his pattern within the 5 yards? IMO this defensive scheme is not aggressive enough.

I agree with the idea, but most years I would have said that the Bengals secondary doesn't have enough talent to cover anyone one-on-one, but this year I believe that they'll be able to cover receivers one-on-one, with Joseph and O'Neal, maybe hall taking slot receivers or one of the corner spots, and then a backer or someone picking up the tight end or backs out of the back field. Like I've said in previous posts, that plan was assuming that the new backers would be an improvement, but it looks right now like we have the same old group starting, out of which I think Brooks should be the only one starting.
