Bengals' Irons Out For Season
#17
More Cowbell Wrote:I remember back during the draft I was upset at the Bengals for drafting Irons with such a high pick. But the more I thought about it, it wasn't such a bad pick considering the questions surounding Chris Perry. Rudi's yards-per-carry dropped to about 3.8 last year, and I believe a lot of that can be linked to the increased workload he shouldered with Perry being injured so much.

I had hoped that with Irons on board, they could lower Rudi's workload and keep his legs fresher over the long haul, but now I guess we'll just have to hope Perry can go for game 6. If not, I think the rushing attack will really suffer by the end of the season, because Watson and Wilson are decent backups and nothing more.

I was the same way. At this point the big head sratcher is the extra QB that we aquired. Especially went some defensive players where still out there.
