I know all about getting the chance to evaluate newcomers, but is the preseason really worth it? If I'm an NFL coach, I play my starters as little as possible. I'm not sure Carson, Chad, TJ, etc.....even need a preseason. And after what happened in last years preseason game, Im sure Clinton Portis of the Redskins would agree. It's a fine line between playing them enough to get the rust off and playing them too much.
