If you are not goint to take Dunn's $13million 1-year option, then you do your best to trade him because he don't want to lose him for nothing. And you must trade him to a contender with money that can negoiate a new deal because once he is traded, he is no longer owed an option and essentially becomes a free agent once the season is done.
