Im thinking about getting xbox live.Can you guys tell me how much it is a mounth and what is required for it

It is like $50 for the whole year. You can get montly cards that vary in price.
In order to use XBOX live you have to have a broadband internet connection. Cable or DSL. U will then need to have a router so that u can hook it up to ur computer's internet. When u purchase XBL, it tells u on the back the requirments.
