The Engineers were very young last year. They have alot coming back. They have a super coaching staff, these guys know smash mouth football.

The first qtr last year against Russell they dominated the line of scrimmage from the offensive side against a defense that held Belfry to zero in a shut out. Total time of possession was 9:15 of the whole 1st qtr. Their double wing style of play reminds me of Belfry and the Ironton/Bob Lutz play. They are my sleeper just as Sheldon Clark was pre-season last year.

I heard someone say that that's about as mad as they've seen Coach McGlone in quite a while. They sure came out with a sense of purpose in the second half I bet. I would say that part of it was the Red Devils were taking the Neers lightly, but that's still pretty impressive to rack that up kind of yardage and time of posession on a state championship caliber team such as Russell. Estill's staff and players seem to really buy into the system. Hopefully success this year will breed success for the years to come. They still seem to have a numbers problem hopefully a few W's will cure that and help push them up to the next level.
