The runner DID run into the fielder! Again she DID run into the fielder! However the fielder misjudged the ball and was way too far up to make the catch so she had to backtrack and while the baserunner was running the two made contact. The 1st baseman then just flat missed the ball, and not because of the runner. Then she just fell trying to hurry and make a play at home. IDK the rules but this was a Great game. Also, Sarah Williams is an 8th grader.

i am not trying to harp....the first baseman is playing there for the first time in their career and could very well have misjudged it. But the rule is the same. I really feel as though our coach should have argued it much more as you can question and even file a protest on a rules infraction.
