Not too stubborn, too good a person. He wasn't going to leave Hobbs and the rest out to dry. I have to admit, his assistants weren't worth a (you know what) but he wasn't just going to let them go because he'd been down a few years.

To stay on track, I am a STAUNCH OTS fan, but the move was probably better for everyone. I'll follow Minnesota and Kentucky now.
And as for Billy G..
I've always loved his coaching style. He's young, can recruit, and looks really promising for the UK program.

How is being stubborn all that inconsistent with
being a "good person." When you listen to people
talk "in the business" everybody is a "good person."
OTS lost some objectivity when it came to his own
staff. When it came time to hire assistants at
Minnesota, I think he saw how desperately he needed
some players. Suddenly, he's on the phone recruting
a good recruiter. Say what you want, but loyalty,
it seems to me, would cut that slice too, if that's
what was going on.
