Good grief it's not Starnes that applied for the job it is one of his assistants if you would call him that. I almost fell out of my chair when I found out Randy Ward had applied for a high school head coaching job. I would love to here what he listed as some of his accomplishments through out his illustrious career. I bet I could probably name three of them. He was the ball boy on the 1975 JCHS regional championship team, he guided the WR Castle Tomcats to one maybe two Johnson County elementary tittles and he was an award winning radio color commentator for last years 15th region champs. On a side note he also set a world record for saying the word absolutely in a radio broadcast during an entire season. I think the final count on total absolutely's spoken were 985,412.
