(4-1). The second game was a marathon with Johnson Co. winning again 16-9. Overall it was great night for baseball. Both Paintsville and Johnson Central look have bright futures on the diamond.
Parker gave up a hit to Spencer in the first inning of the first game. Game should have been like 2-1 if not for two very costly errors 1st inning. As for the second game. Paintsville started every single kid on their bench that didn't play the first game. Which were 4 6th graders and 2 kids that had never played baseball before. JC left in their main starters from the first game untill they went up 12-0 in the first. Painstville then started bringing in their other kids in the 3rd after each youngster got an at bat and 2 innings in the field.
Both do have bright futures. I think Paintsville did Very well in the first game. Considering they start 4-7th graders and 1-6th grader and one of their main ptchers (7th grader) is out with a broken arm. Paintsville also threw their #3 or #4 pitcher the first game.
But, both teams do have bright futures and will keep up the tradition in the 57th District as the toughest in the 15th.
Great job to all the boys last night. By the way has anyone got any news on Ousley's nose. He took a shot on a play at the plate last night. Hope he is ok!
