KHSAA has been considering a "penalty" for kids who play HS sports as middle schoolers and then transfer to another HS with out actually moving. There was an article last spring in the Lexington Herald- a sports writer had interviewed an 8th grader who was starting on the varsity softball team and was apparently very successful. She was asked how she thought the team would do next year- considering they would be returning quite a few players. Her reply: I don't know, I wont be here next year. I'll be going to school at ?!?!?

The rest of the article discussed the KHSAA looking into penalizing student athletes for this. It may not be in effect at this time, but I look for it to be soon.
