Rankings mean nothing? That is probably one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. It's fine to get on here and have support for your team but to say that Pike Central is the best team in the 15th region is downright ridiculous. I am sure that everyone on here would like to think their team is the best, but until they can prove it, you are just making yourself look silly. Magoffin is BY FAR the best team in the 15th. Yes, Pike Central did beat them earlier in the year but Brittany Manns and Michaela Howard had only 8 points combined. If any one of them would have played a good game Magoffin would have came away with the win. Don't get me wrong though, Magoffin can be beat. They have been beat 3 times this year. But with a record of 27-3 against Pike Central's 17-10, I don't even see how you have a point here. If rankings didn't mean anything, why would we have them? They meant everything up till this point. Sure, you can throw them out come tournament time, but as for the regular season, Magoffin County was definitely the best team in the 15th region. Not to mention, they have been ranked #1 in the mountains and #15 in the state of Kentucky. Now until Pike Central can win this tournament, they are by no means the best team.

Did you miss the stats? Haley healthy means that PC wins. Did you ever think that Manns and Michaela only had 8 points because of Defense? How can MC be best team BY FAR when PC beat them with everyone on MC healthy and without a PC starter? No, it was something else, bad game, refs, free throws and I am sure I will hear the same thing next week. If rankings meant so much we wouldn't even have a tourney. The best team will be declared next week. IMO it will be PC. How many years does even one of the #1 seeds win the NCAA tourney. Rankings and records mean nothing come tourney time. Its march madness. I am just saying don't say MC is the best team based on record alone.
