Napier High School were two high schools located only a couple of miles apart. The two schools pitted the city against the county and made for a bitter rivalry. For more than 40 years this rivalry continued. Then, in 1995 a new central high school opened up that combined M.C. Napier and Dilce Combs high schools. But a new school and a new name did nothing to lessen the rivalry that had been going on for years...it just became the Hazard-PCC rivalry. Now there's a lot more Commodores than there were Navajos, and they outnumber us 3-1, but the Bulldogs just get a little bit scrappier and a little bit meaner and continue their winning tradition. GOOOOO BULLDOGS!!!!
