By the way Gilbert is 7-0 on the year, and has yet to play a close ballgame. Tonight was their closest game of the year. Gilbert went on a 21-0 run in the first half, but Belfr cut it to 5 by halftime.

It was a 26-1 run...
Belfry came out with a 15-4 lead, and Gilbert jumped back to take a 30-16 lead...

IMO, you guys are overhyping Gilbert... They are a good team no doubt, but they really arn't underrated at No. 3 in WV Class A.. They stand no chance of beating Charleston Catholic, or Wheeling Central Cathlolic..

Gilberts big man is OK at best.. He doesn't do anything on defense, and can't make layups unless they are uncontested on the offensive end.. He is supposed to be 6'8.. He shoud have had a 20 points, 15 or so rebounds tonight.. He didn't.. He isn't that good..

What tonights outcame boiled down to is Belfry didn't come to play, and alot of bad coaching errors.. When a team goes on 26-1 run.. its only common sense that you call a timeout.. Randy once again blunders.. IMHO, I believe that was the major turning point in the game..
Belfrys players got discouraged from that point on..
It was an off night for Jamie Case, and no one else on the team can step up offensively.. ESPECIALLY the post players...
Belfry's post play is going to have to step up if the Pirates are going to make a run at the 15th Region Championship.. Right now they are not going to get it done..

As for the comment made above about Paintsville having a shot, I do not think Paintsville is a better team than Belfry.. After watching Paintsville, I have come to the conclusion Belfry is the better team..
