That originated with Native Americans. They believed that in order to capture the picture the camera had to take your soul. They were big on that kind of stuff. They even believed when you died you could your soul exited your body. What happened was someone died of a wound in winter and the steam from the body heat looked like a person's soul leaving their body. It's crazy stuff, but interesting.
*But the dumbest thing I've ever heard in a classroom was when a person came to class for a test that day and asked do we need anything to write with?
