eBay Woes
#4
ZMG Wrote:I recently bought a Famicom from a seller in Japan via eBay. However, I immediately knew the item I got was not the one in the picture. Today I see another auction from the same seller that had the pictures of the actual Famicom they sent me. I have opened a dispute with Paypal and will see where it goes from there. Has anyone ever had to do this? If so, what was the outcome?

I created a page with proof if this. If you would like to see it, check out:
http://www.wildcatcorner.com/famicom/

The auction links are:

(the Famicom I bought)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230029641421

(the Famicon someone else bought)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230018169285

I think I have a pretty good case... what do you think? Smile

You can also open a dispute with Ebay. I have opened 2 disputes with Paypal, and both issues were resolved without incident.

You should contact the seller first, maybe forward the page you created to them and then if you don't get any satisfaction start the dispute process.
Goodluck!!
