Did Walking Tall Buford Pusser Kill His Wife?

I hate political grandstanding against suspects who are not available to defend themselves against the charges. Investigators failed to do their job while Pusser was alive. It is too late to claim a win for political gain. Unless the politicians wanted to publicly apologize for their collective failure to bring Mrs. Pusser's killer to justice, they should have kept silent. They should not have spiked the ball in front of a microphone and camera.

IMO, if there is overwhelming evidence that Buford is guilty, yes, the system failed Mrs, Pusser, but Buford deserves everything he has coming.
Buford Pusser has been dead for 51 years. Beating up on a rotting corpse to score political points benefits nobody but the shameless politicians who arranged the press conference. They did what we have come to expect of our elected public officials.
