LAWRENCE 35 PRESTONSBURG 14 (SCRIMMAGE)
#12
One of the biggest problems for LB's and DB's to stop running backs that I see all the time, at every level, but especially highschool. They have the runner lined up perfectly, but then they hesitate and allow the runner to control the situation, and they stop to soon and wait for the runner to come to them, instead of meeting them in the middle. This allows the runner to take whatever angle he wants, and can make whatever move he wants. Any RB worth his salt will win that battle 100% of the time. And if the RB has some speed and twitch to him, then that back will be trying to tackle thin air, wandering what just happened, while the RB is housing it.
