I really don't like that Pikeville plays such weak Scrimmage opponents every Year and then jumps straight into one of the Toughest Regular Season Schedules in the whole State. They need to Scrimmage top notch opponents to prepare themselves for their tough Schedule, not Cupcakes.

1. LCC is good and Martin Co isn't terrible.

2. Pikeville opens at CAL, Cabell Midland, Raceland, at Johnson Central, at Belfry. Wouldn't be smart to line up against Trinity and St. X heading into that.

The point is that Iron sharpens Iron and you can't shy away from good competition in the Pre Season and then expect to be ready for one of the Hardest Schedules in the State. It will lead to injuries and in the end the Coach is suppose to have them prepared for the Schedule that he put together. Betsy Layne, Martin Co, LCC and East Ridge won't even prepare you for Belfry moreless CAL and the rest of the Gauntlet.
