[TD Hounds]

What are you thinking, TDH? Do we get through the regular season unscathed, or do you think we lose one?  Also, there were some rumors about a couple of Florida kids who were transferring up but I haven't been able to determine if there is any validity to it. Both of the rumored kids , I think, were defensive guys. Do you know if we've added any to the roster since the dead period? You can PM me if you don't want to post it here.

Hard to bet against the HOUNDS but I wouldn’t be surprised if we lost a couple of those early games for a variety of reasons but the #1 is losing Elam and breaking in a new QB and let’s be honest Kade is just an almost impossible act to follow….. I out to have first hand info Old School but I’ll give Salmons credit he’s about got any info being shared outside of the locker room snuffed out…. I could push the issue but I’m honestly impressed by it so much , the loyalty being shown, that I’m just staying in my lane, maybe it’ll help us get over the 40 year hump……

What are your honest impressions of Salmons? Do you think he's got what it takes to bring a championship to Corbin? He seems like a pretty Old School football guy. I know the kids like him really well.

Bull can vouch for this statement, apprehensive when he was first hired is an understatement….. But yes I think he can potentially get us to the promised land, he’s knowledgeable and understands the kids really really well, which is why the kids seem to like him so much and are so loyal….. Don’t have many options left from the past administration they managed to alienate most anybody interested in the job to the point that we were lucky to get Salmons…..

I don't know how many times I've seen kids, whether it be at a restaurant or Walmart, wearing those Salmons shirts. Not sure exactly what the shirts say but something about Salmons Hounds. I saw two of our guys at Wendys back in late May of '24 and was asking them about their thoughts of the season ahead. They didn't seem very enthused, said they thought the team would "probably be okay." Two weeks later, just after Salmons was hired, I saw the same two youngsters. They had a totally different attitude. Said they thought they'd be very good and we're really excited about the season. Salmons flipped the switch on these kids almost immediately and had them buying in 100%. I thought that was pretty impressive.  The 20 penalties in the state SF game at Paducah wasn't impressive. That was concerning. Hopefully, everyone, including Salmons , learns from that. 

 As far as the games they could lose this season, most are pointing to Pulaski, Douglass, and Johnson Central. I don't know a damn thing about Bryan Station. I know they were pretty darn good last season. Linton Stockton has a really nice football program but Corbin should out talent them across the field.  Maybe a dangerous game if Corbin overlooks them but I don't see it happening. L-S ain't coming to Campbell Field and getting a win.  JC is always tough , and they do what they do very well. Still, I think Corbin takes care of business at home.  

Pulaski on the road and Douglass at home.  Pulaski played Corbin pretty well last season and look to be better this season. I say the Hounds get the win.  Fred Douiglass- your guess is as good as mine. I feel like that if the Hounds take a loss in the first half of the season, it will be against the Broncos. Their arthletes are always as good as any. Plus, they are well coached and are used to playing , and doing well, in big time environments.  I'll say 9-1 , with a loss to Douglass.  Again, I don't know anything about Bryan Station. Did they lose a lot from last season?

Almost every kid I’ve talked to loves Salmons and even better believes in him, that’s something imo a coach has to have…. This maybe a season where early losses are simply that, I can see us losing to Pulaski, Douglass, and JC early but being able to beat them by season end, just think we’ll be that much improved by then
