It has little traffic and I used to walk it every day, sometimes 4 or 5 times. I was recently diagnosed with venous insufficiency, including the valves in my legs not returning the blood sufficiently. In other words, my legs would just give out. It scared me when it first happened. I was afraid I had MS. But it wasn't that at all! Still, I have to be careful, and walk only one time around the circle and give it a couple of hours before trying the second round. I haven't been consistent with walking this summer because of the heat and humidity. This is another reason I'm looking forward to fall and lower temps.Granny, my wife has multiple chronic physical issues that impact her joints, back, balance, etc. Within the next couple of months, she will be getting an electric tricycle. The model that I am encouraging her to get won't be available until next month, but this is the base model:
Today was supposed to be a double birthday party for my great grandsons. I went down to their home a couple of days early, so I could help with arrangements and child care. I always have the best time with these two boys. They are GREAT fun!!! But, they got sick and we had to cancel the party. Bummer! What's more, I'm afraid I've caught what they had. So I came home last night because I was afraid to wait any longer in case I got to the point of not being able to drive safely.
Getting old is NOT for the weak!!!

The upgraded model will have a 750 Wat motor and better battery life. It also includes a torque sensor, which most riders prefer.
The beauty of electric bikes (and trikes) is that you can do all the work or let the bike do all the work, or you can share the work load with the motor. The trike has pedal assist settings from 0 to 5. The harder you pedal, the more power the motor contributes. The trike also has a throttle, which most riders don't often use.
Lectric claims an 80 percent share of the e-trike market in the US. You can buy cheaper trikes from Walmart or Amazon, but many trikes cost much more than the Lectric trikes. The upgraded Lectric bike costs $1,799. Not cheap, but hospital bills and gym memberships aren't cheap either. The base model is $300 cheaper.
The biggest reason for my preference for the upgraded trike is the torque sensor. Cheaper trikes and bikes use a cadence sensor, which deliver power assist based on peddling speed. My wife wants the trike for exercise but she wants simple operation and a trike that feels like a non-motorized bike when she peddles. In other words, she wants to feel like she is peddling a normal bike using her own bionic legs.
