What the word on Letcher this year?

Watched Letcher pass against Pburg at Knott last weekend and they definitely pass the eye test. Those boys look like they live in the weight room. Tons of size and lots of athletes this year.

Saw them during 7on7 also and agree they look good.  Don’t know much about their line but QB and skill kids look good enough for them to get some quality wins.

It'd been a few years since I followed LCC, glad to hear they look good and are still trending in the right direction.  Last time them and JC played it was a battle, shootout, LCC almost got the win. I figure this years game will be a good one too.

I think you could be right about them having the best line around although I want to watch the game against Belfry before committing to that. Fergusons leaving Pikeville hurt them more than it helps JC but it sure gives JC depth and no doubt helps them.  I still think JC will have to be able to throw it occasionally when they get deeper into playoffs against teams with similar size especially since they don’t have the RB who graduated.  Still have good ones but not his caliber.  Also agree they better have improved the defense because depending on winning shootouts probably won’t get them a title in their class.  If it comes together, they have a good chance.  Really strong, talented team that not many will want to play in late November and December.

You nailed it when you said JC would need to be able to throw more during the playoffs.  I definitely agree with this. You can go back and look over the years when we've got bounced from the playoffs.  The deeper we get in the playoffs, the better teams defenses is able to zero in on stopping the run. 
Every team knows what JC is going to do on offense and many struggle to stop it. They know what's coming and still struggle with stopping it. Imagine if they didn't know what was coming.  Like mixing in a few more passes. Looks like that maybe even tougher to stop.
