Not spending three plus hours invested in a game between two elite QBs only to see one of them not get a chance to touch the ball in OT. If I wanted to know who'd win based on a coin toss, I'd write each team's name on a quarter and throw it up in my living room.
I agree with this 110%

Makes me think of Josh Allen and the Bills Vs Mahomes and the Chiefs in the playoffs a few years back. Everyone knew whoever won the coin toss in ot was likely winning the game.

College rules would be perfect in these situations.

I have to respectfully disagree with you two on the college overtime rules,  they are unwatchable IMO.
That being said, after the Mahomes and Allen game a few years ago, the NFL  changed the overtime rules in the playoffs guaranting (sp?) at least one possession for each team in OT. This spring, the NFL  owners agreed to change the OT rule for the regular season so that both teams can get at least one possession in OT.

That's good that they're making this rule change.

As long as, both teams get to touch the ball in OT, regardless if the team that wins the coin toss marches down and scores. The other team should have one chance to answer.

If that's the case then I'm good with it  Wink
