LSU Shreveport Finishes Perfect Season With a Record of 59- 0
#6
59-0 is insane at any level.

Having 9 players with a .300 average in 100+ at-bats is also pretty wild. So is only four of their games being decided by one run. It wasn't all hitting though, as their team ERA was 2.38 (more than a run better than the next closest team).

From what I'm gathering, this isn't some dominant dynasty-- they've been pretty good for awhile, but this is the school's first national championship and they'd had 10 or more losses in three of their last four seasons. Almost sounds like having caught lightning in a bottle-- a really good team that probably had some luck and statistical anomalies on their side as well.

Like everyone else, this is something that I don't know we see repeated, at least in a very long time.
