Mark Pemberton named Madison Southern HC
#25
Regardless of what anyone else says, talent is the number one factor in winning football games. From what I gather, Madison Southern doesn't have much and will likely be outmanned most times they compete. When that is the case, there are really two offenses that give you an opportunity to compete with less talent. They are number one, the triple option, and number two, the Wing T. I would make the Mike Leach style Air Raid number three, but you still have to have a really good quarterback in that offense to make it go; and those are rare.

The problem Madison Southern seems to have is that the kids are more concerned with being flashy and running what they see on Saturdays and Sundays than with competing and winning football games. It takes a different kind of player to run these offenses. It takes players who are more invested in the team than themselves, which is becoming more and more of a rarity these days. If those guys are the type that are more ME than TEAM, then it doesn't matter what scheme you run. You are going to struggle.
