Male teachers being inappropriate with female students--- We've heard about this stuff for years and years. Just last year around this time, a Whtley County coach and teacher  was arrested for inappropriate touching of two female students and sharing nude pictures. Back in the day, there was a very well known Corbin coach and teacher that was rumored to engage in dirty old man behavior with some of his players. He's dead now. Even back in my day, you heard talk about teachers getting it on with students. Were the rumors true? Probably some were.

Fast forward to today. I am seeing more and more stories of female teachers having sexual relations with HS boys, and even middle school students. Probably one of the more infamous cases was Mary Joe Latourneau, who had relations with her sixth greade student, Vili Fualaau, with whom she had two children. Just today I came across a story about two female twenty-something HS teachers who were arrested for meeting for three-way sexual encounters with a 17-year old football player. Is it just me or are we hearing more and more stories of female teachers having liasons with male students? Maybe this has always gone on, as well, but all I can ever remember receiving from a female teacher was a paddling with a big ol' thick piece of wood, and it was far from pleasurable. Ms. Ridner was  about 65 y.o. and a  mean old bag. 

Also, have you noticed the double standard that seems to exist when the perp is a female teacher taking advantage of a young male versus a male teacher or coach preying on a young female student? Aren't they both equally reprehensible?  What do you all think of this?  How would you react if your child revealed that she/he had been touched, sexted, or worse, by one of their teachers. Guys, would you react differently if it was your Tommy boy who was touched by a female teacher?
