[Old School Hound]

My mother made great brownies. I preferred her brownies with plenty of chopped pecans to cakes for my birthdays as a kid and still do.

I hate that nuts have almost disappeared from store bought brownies because of allergies and lawyers.

My dad, when he was younger and still felt like cooking, made the best brownies. Dad liked chopped black walnuts in his brownies. So there wer plenty of black walnuts and he made his own chocolate icing and topped his brownies about an inch thick with that icing. I miss those things. They were SO very good!
