Hell, even a weekend series at Great American Ball Park will run you several hundred, maybe a thousand bucks.  Most families can no longer afford sports entertainment. SAD!

True, and big screen HDTV + internet is the best friend and huuuuuge money saver for old(er) dudes.
Indeed!!!   The first professional sports ticket I ever purchased was for a Reds-Pirates game at Riverfront in August of 1971 :  $3

Bought a ticket to Bengals/Steelers regular season game at Riverfront in 1976 :   $7

I wish I saved my old concert tickets. It takes a nut to pay $1000 per Taylor Swift ticket for the whole family in the upper deck of a football stadium and I know many people who are doing it lol. Crazy times.

Jet, get this. My mom had a ticket to see Elvis at Rupp Arena. The show was to have taken place the week after his unfortunate death. She could have returned the ticket for a refund. She didn't.  She still had the ticket at the time of her death.  Ticket price ---   $ 7 .
I remember. My best friend's parents were taking the whole family. August of 1977 if I remember correctly. Before I knew how big Elvis was.
