St. X pushed out Nurnberg after 3 years, per one of their captains. He then went to Northside GA and was released after going 5-15 in two seasons.
The AD's role and workload is definitely questionable. And so are the athletic finances! He's hard to work with, and give's zero attention to the development of their younger players. The fresh/mores wear decade old UK practice pants in games, stand around doing nothing during practice, and the coach screams the plays to the QB in games. The MS team was ran more efficiently!
The MS program will be going on 5 coaches in 5 years, which can be directly tied to the AD's actions and decisions. LC's talent pool is very strong, and includes multiple all-state MS players. I hope all the Catholic talent stays at LC, but recent history depicts another story. LC's numbers are so low the AD cut their 7th and 9th teams, and the HC left for a non-coaching St. X job, and years before expected, because he was burdened with excessive non-coaching responsibilities, including laundry, equipment management and cleaning the locker room.
Now the LC administration has formed a four member committee included the AD's and Rumpke to again choose LC's next coach. No student athlete or parent committee is involved, which is crazy because they produce ~100K for the program through fees and fundraising. I'll end with this, it is unacceptable that LC senior players felt compelled to publicly thank a coach for simply lasting longer than a year, only to learn he was leaving. This reflects a systemic problem.
