To the coaches that voted against Sperry and cost him 14th region player of the year. You should be ashamed of yourselves for denying a kid something he has earned. Sorta reminds me of these goofy 14th region refs we have to put up with.

That being said , I want to congratulate the ENTIRE Breathitt Bobcat squad on winning the 14th region. It was a true team accomplishment. Go have fun at Rupp !!

Tell me why the coaches who voted for Evin Eversole as player of the year should be ashamed? They voted for the best player on the best team just as anyone would do and that’s how things sometimes work out. One player gets a nice accolade while another deserving wins something the other player didn’t. It’s a shame that people just couldn’t enjoy watching these players. How do u think some of the other seniors around the 14th feel?  I’m sure they felt they deserved it too and they was some good seniors again in the 14th. Trayton Woods comes to mind. Because I know he had a good year and I watched many of his games.

Are you saying the coaches voted for Eversole because he’s the best player in the region or because he was the best player on the best team in the region ?

I’m confident , if every coach in the region told the truth when asked. Who is the best player in the region ? Austin Sperry would have received 100% of the votes. That’s why I say they should be ashamed.

I’m saying coaches voted for Evin because of his performances in big games this year and helped Hazard win some big games.

Now if the award was voted on after region then there would be no doubt that Sperry would have won it. But voting was before and I’m sure most coaches voted on Evins performances. Evin at this time was also 4-0 against Sperry so that also could have played into it. That’s my opinion on the matter.
