Lawrence County 68 Pikeville 67 OT (15th Region Tournament Quarterfinals)
#85
Alright time for a neutral observer to analyze this situation.

1. It was a 2 and everyone at the gym knew it. Replay confirms it was not close. It was a horrendous call that directly impacted the game. Pikeville should have won the game in overtime once they lined up to tip it off again, as players you have to do what it takes even in a situation like this.

2. Why did the 16th region send two fat old guys to officiate in a region tournament? Is there not a better option than two men who physically could not make it up and down the court any better? The man who made the call looked like dusty rhodes in the later stage of life. Can we not get the best of the best officials from every region for these playoff games??

The more hair lost directly correlates to how bad of an official you are. That is universal.

Earlier this year, a high school basketball official was handed a tablet to watch a replay of a fight on the floor and proceeded to use that video replay to eject a player. I argued it the same thing then, why do officials have all the power with no consequences? If an official can actively break NFHS rules in one game and use a replay to eject a player during the game with no consequences, then why can’t they use one to correct a henious call? We leave the results of contests that kids work all their life for at the hands of 3 overweight bald assholes that complain they make almost 100 dollars an hour as supplemental income.
