I’ve been thinking about this game and honestly I think FC matches up with MC better than any other team in the region, so if the upset is going to happen then it’ll be in this game. FC has pretty good athleticism and have been solid with their perimeter defense lately and I think that’s the key to slowing this MC offense down. Have to cut off penetration from Watts and then rotate quickly to get a hand up against the kickout 3. FC has pretty good post play and rebounding going right now too with Howard and Buck, so I think FC can win this game with the right gameplan. Whether they will or not, idk, they’ve been wildly inconsistent all year and honestly pretty poorly coached. They should be much better than they are. I think they should’ve went 6-0 in the 58th because they should’ve been a matchup nightmare for everyone. They’re a very talented team but most of the times I’ve watched them they look lost on offense and have been unable to develop much chemistry with each other. I hope they win it because I like seeing Floyd county schools be successful, but I doubt they will. This MC team is peaking right now, but a perfect gameplan and perfect execution from FC has a punchers chance. If MC is able to get offensive rebounds and fast break points then this one will get ugly quick.
