The obsessed fan of Jon Benet---   the pedophile down the street.  He received his mail at a building for the homeless , owned by a church , just 13 houses  down from the Ramsey house. He is a convicted pedophile. That's not all.  He confessed to murdering Jon Benet in a series of letters to a friend. !!! He called a friend in California on Dec. 27, 1996 and told the person that he had hurt a little girl in Boulder. This was before the news of the murder had ever reached the newspapers. According to the friend, Oliva was sobbing when he was telling about hurting the little girl. He later admitted in a series of letters to a friend that he killed her accidentally. In 2004, in an interview with Erin Moriarity of  "48 Hours," he denied killing or hurting John Benet but said he had a fascination with her.  He said he believes she came  to him after she was killed and revealed herself to him. 

Four years after the murder, Oliva was arrested on the campus of the University of Colorado in Boulder for drug charges. Found in his backpack were pictures of Jon Benet, a poem, entitled, "Ode to John Benet," that he had written for her, and a stun gun( JB had what appeared to be marks from a stun gun on her body). Sixteen years later, in 2016, he was arrested on child porn charges. He had uploaded 10 files of prepubescent girls, a total of 22 images, at least one of the children was between 4 and 7 years of age.

So, is Gary behind bars today, with the key thrown away? Nah, not in the landof the free and home of the brave . Ol' Gary is free as a bird.  In fact, he was spotted fairly recently outside of the Silver Spur Motel, where he currently lives.
