Didn't get to watch as much of this one as I'd have liked but UConn is actually finishing strong. Aside from an inexcusable loss to Seton Hall, they've only lost to St. John's since the calendar turned into February. If you remember the animosity from last year's St. John's games, you had a feeling that Pitino was going to get them at least once this year too.
Marquette is sinking like a rock. Their losses are to good teams (or at least solid programs)-- UConn, St. John's, Villanova, Creighton, Xavier, but they haven't beaten a ranked team that was ranked at the time they played since the first week in December. After staying in the bottom of the top 10 for most of the season, they're probably going into the conference tournament unranked unless they pull off an upset against St. John's this weekend.
