They have been one of the youngest teams in the state the last maybe 3 years. At one point their first and second team would beat most in the 13th and several had transferred out. Still loaded with young talent if they get a Large transfer that several have talked about or Breitz develops more they can be a state contender the next couple of years. Regardless the next 2 they will be the class of the 13th no question. And they got steal when they hired Winlan, he is a great coach.

He def is a great coach! It’s a shame that another school in the 50th loaded with tons of talent couldn’t find someone like him. It amazes me how Corbin and South always seem to be on top or right there in the mix. They’ve definitely got things figured out.

That other school could be great, always has tons of talent only to see them transfer out. They will lose a couple from this years team mark it down, 1 to Corbin and 2 to SL--if you know their team then you know who the kids are. Tooooooo much parental involvement there.

parental involvement with the team or decisions being made? I have watched them play some this season. I always left feeling bad for the kids. So much talent is being wasted. I’ve heard corbin is trying really hard to get the one as they are losing a player this year that is similar to her style of play. I hadn’t heard about the two to south. It’s really a shame

Everywhere else in the region parents seem to accept a coachs decision since its the Coachs team. Not there lol, don't like playing time call board members or Siler. Don't get what you like move em to another school and get the same result. And yes the one you mentioned nearly left last summer and was talked into staying plus had midseason thoughts about leaving. I don't get it, never have. In the last 6 years they have lost enough talent to have won a regional title with transfers to Bell, Pineville, and Corbin. SMH--get the parents out and do better by the kids but it won't happen.

I guess we’ll see what happens. I heard a rumor today that the coach was stepping down.
