4 quarters…what is that reason? Like to know your expert analysis and tell us how easy it is for kids to play college basketball at schools like ETSU.

I believe you couldn’t watch much college basketball or know how the landscape has changed for high school kids. With the transfer portal it’s hard for HS kids to get a division 1 scholarship opportunity. Plus the talent is crazy at all levels. Only the best get the D1 opportunities.

Is there anyone else going D1 from the 13th region this year? Rather, Go back the last 10 years. How many??

 The list is small…
*Noah  (UK)
*Sheppard (UK)
*Carmical (EKU)
*Broughton (EKU)
*Taylor (started at Furman)
*Huff (ETSU)

I agree with Black Bear Cuz, Huff will be great at ETSU and it may not stop there.
Mabe had several D1 offers this year per several in London and Corbin including the walk on opportunity from UK early in the year but decided on Huntsville for the degree opportunity. Etsu or wherever it’s a free education that typically is worth up to $150k over the life of the opportunity. Congrats to all the kids, it’s a very small club at any level

Also Cromer played at EKU and AKal played D1. I’m sure there are more in the past 10 years I’m just too tired to think of em lol
First, my point to 4 Quarters (or anyone) was, why belittle any athlete? Whatever the intentions, it’s wrong. According to social media; Huff (HC) and Davidson (NL) have been the most recruited players from our region, why throw shots at that, should respect and support them. If I left out any others, strictly by my mistake. Couldn’t think of any more.

Second, Good for Mabe. He is a very good player, I wish him best of luck. I don’t know his recruit any more than what I see on social media, and going to Alabama-Huntsville is an excellent opportunity.

Lastly, didn’t include Cromer because he never played in game at EKU, transferred very early. But Cromer is a great player, the best player SL has produced in the last decade. Akal is another good player, but has been at King University (D2) for the last 3 years. Having a good year this year for them.
IJ,  I was not ripping on Huff, just stated there was a reason he was going to ETSU instead of large major D1 school, it's called talent.  Yes, it's true that some kids are more gifted with certain skills than others. Hell, I wanted to play with the Boston Celtics back in the day, it never happened, wonder why? LOL  What schools were recruiting Huff?  Do you believe everything you read on social media, I sure don't.
According to 247 sports, he had 6 D1 offers. They were ETSU, Chattanooga, EKU, Morehead, Youngstown State, and UT Martin.
